A story of power and the price that is paid for power:

Thatcher's life and political career are portrayed in flashback as she struggles with Alzheimer's and grieves for her deceased husband, Dennis. We follow her life from the family grocer's shop to her eleven-year period in office, which was marked by her strict leadership style, spending cuts, strikes, the introduction of an unpopular poll tax and the Falklands War. Later, as her leadership is called into question, previously loyal cabinet members turn against her one by one, leading to her political downfall.

We Were Here DVD

*NEW IN FEBRUARY 2012*

Documentary about the breakout of AIDS in San Francisco in the early 1980s. During the 1970s, San Francisco had a very open gay community where men and women were able to enjoy a sense of freedom denied them in most other cities in America. However, when AIDS began to spread, it caused a huge increase in deaths in the city. The film focuses on the impact of the disease on the people of San Francisco and how the community rallied together to support one another through the crisis. It is told by the people who lived through the crisis from the very beginning in a less enlightened era when no one knew what AIDS was or where it came from, and it was only known as “the gay disease”. Short-listed for an Oscar.
